Brad Abare, Center for Church Communication

Brad Abare is the director of communications for the Foursquare denomination, founder of the Center for Church Communication, and president of Personality, a communication and marketing consultancy. In 2004 Brad started ChurchMarketingSucks.com, a worldwide conversation to frustrate, educate, and motivate the Church to communicate, with uncompromising clarity, the truth of Jesus Christ.

She has served in several different roles from youth ministry, to worship leader, and most recently as media and communications director for her local church in East Texas. Bill Oechsler, XLER | Marketing & Brand Consultancy

A well-known and respected marketing and brand strategist, Bill Oechsler is no stranger to the serious business of faith-based marketing. Insightful and engaging, his ability to dig deep into the heart of a brand and craft strategies that help penetrate the minds of consumers is evident in the success of his clients.

Prior to founding his own consulting firm, Xler, Bill served as the executive vice president of marketing at Zondervan, a HarperCollins company and international leader in Christian communications. There, he oversaw all marketing efforts spanning the companys Bible, book, children's, and new media groups. He was also responsible for all branding, corporate communications, Internet marketing, market research, creative services, and events.

Before joining Zondervan, Bill served as the president and chief strategic officer of Hanon McKendry. In that role, he led many of the strategic initiatives for high-profile nonprofits such as World Vision, Promise Keepers, Alliance Defense Fund, Focus on the Family, and Knights of Columbus, as well as corporate clients like Owens Corning, Hush Puppies, Furniture Row, and Rubbermaid.

A graduate of University of Texas at Austin, Bill began his marketing career at Leo Burnett USA, one of nations foremost advertising agencies. While there, he helped create some of the most memorable and effective brand-building campaigns in the world for clients like McDonald's Corp., Sony Corp., Philip Morris (Marlboro), Reebok, Procter & Gamble Co., and Walt Disney World.

In addition to his consulting services, Bill currently sits on the Global Publishers Alliance, Orphan Justice Mission, and Grotenhuis boards, and had previously served on the Life International and Catholic Human Development Outreach boards.

Alan Ritari, Agathon Group

Alan Ritari has been a part of the Gospel Communications community since its birth, when he was part of the web team for charter alliance member InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Soon after he joined the Gospelcom.net staff as their Senior Developer where he was instrumental in growing Gospelcom.net from infancy to the largest Christian destination on the web. He now uses those same skills in software/database architecture to help organizations of all sizes grow and flourish. Alan heads Agathon Group, along with Peter Green and Joel Boonstra.

Kent Shaffer is the founder of ChurchRelevance.com, an online resource created to inspire and train ministers to be more relevant and effective. He also co-owns Bombay Creative, a ministry-oriented design and marketing firm.

Wiley Stinnett, Douglas Shaw & Associates, Inc.

Wiley plays an integral role in providing strategic leadership that aligns our ministry clients' broadcast programming with their direct marketing activities. He has served as Director of Marketing with RBC Ministries which included all direct response for RBC radio programs and print (Our Daily Bread, etc.). Since his arrival 13 years ago, annual revenue to the ministry has grown by over $20 million. He also served as Executive Producer of the Walk in the Word radio program featuring James McDonald and Dr. Joe Stowell. Through his efforts, he has managed to more than double the response to the broadcast. Finally, as Director of Marketing for Discovery House Publishing, a division of RBC Ministries, he developed a strategy that increased annual revenue from $300,000 to $2.6 million. Prior to that, Wiley led the growth of Coral Ridge Ministries with Dr. D. James Kennedy for an 11-year period through 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama.
